Rotterdamera heldutakoan uste nuen beste herbeheretar hiri xarmangarri bat aurkituko nuela.
Orain arte ikusi ditudan hiri guztietan (asko ez, baina batzuk bai) modernitate zantzurik aurkitu ezinda ibili naiz, behintzat hiriaren erdigunean. Hereberehetara netorrela jakindakoan denok buruan dauzkagun adreiluzko etxe baxuak etorri zitzaizkidan gogora. Halabaina, ez dira horrelakoak Rotterdam berezi egiten duten eraikinak. Izan ere, ezinezkoa da handik pasatu eta eraikinei argazkirik atera gabe gelditzea.
Inork inoiz entzun al du ezer karratu formadun etxeei buruz? Nola ibiltzen ote dira hor barruan bizi direnak? Hara joandakoan, zaila ez da baina, dena itxita aurkitu nuen. Euskaldunen ordutegiarekin ibiltzearen ondorioak izango dira. Dudarekin gelditu beharko!
Hiri osoa arte erakusketa baten parte dela dirudi. Eraikinen pareta handiak muralez josita ez badaude, eraikina bera izango da zure onetik aterako zaituena. Portura bidean merkatu baten aurrean zaudela ikusiko duzu. Kolore, usain, forma eta hamaika dendatxo txiki barnebiltzen dituen merkatua. Jendez eta turistaz lepo.
Onena bertara joatea, eta ezinezkoa bada argazki hauekin gozatu.
ON EGIN! Hurrengo hirira arte!

Once arrived to Rotterdam I believed that I would find another Dutch charming city.
In all the cities that I have visited (not much, but some) I was unable to find modernity, at least in the center of the city. When I knew that I would come to The Netherlands, I immediately thought on those charming small bricked houses. However, the buildings that do Rotterdam special, are not like those. In fact, it is impossible to visit the city and not to stop taking pictures of the buildings.
Has somebody ever heard something about the rhomb shaped houses? Once there, it is not difficult but, I found all closed. It will be the consequence of living with the Basque schedule!
All the city seems to be an exhibition of art. If the big walls of the buildings are not filled with murals, the building in itself will leave you speechless. Going a bit further from those houses you will see that you are in front of a market. A dome shaped market. Colors, smell... A lot of small local shops trying to sell typical products, crowded by locals and tourists.
The best way to see it is going there, and if not, here you are some pictures.
ENJOY THEM! See you in the next city or adventure!
